A worn chain shifts poorly and wears down sprockets at an accelerated rate. The CC-2 is a gauge designed to accurately indicate the extent of chain wear. The Park Tool CC-2 gives better insight into the wear of your chain than most wear gauges. Place the chain checker with the pins in the links of the chain, then look at the measurement window for an accurate measurement.
